Get motivated! That’s the subject of today’s lecture. Grab a red bull and a cup of coffee and get ready to change the way in which you live your life. If you used to prefer sitting on the couch to jogging, that’s going to change. If you’d rather drink a beer than direct traffic for school-children, get ready to buy a hand-held stop sign. If you once threw yourself down the stairs so that you could park in the handicapped space at the grocery store… well, actually that’s pretty motivated. Either way, whether or not you believe in a day’s work for a day’s pay, if you’re visiting this website there’s a good chance that you could be doing something better with your time. Make the next thing you do something that gets you to where you want to be.

You can do it!

Dear Jeff and Elliott,

I have a problem motivating my self to do things and finish work I’ve started what do you think i

Unmotivated in Coatesville

Dear Unmotivated,

Here’s how we start: if you’re not already distracted
Try to find why your mind won’t stay attracted
Step one: make sure that what you’re trying to do
Is a passion that you actually feel you should pursue

Step two: break your goal into small steps
Each one a piece that brings you closer to the next
Step three: Harmony

When it comes down to it, light a fire under your ass
You know what you have to do, now set yourself to the task

Step four: from your Environment, Eliminate distractions.
Remove yourself from places where your mind loses it’s traction
Step five: like some old guy said: don’t compromise.
If something’s worth doing, then it’s worth doing right

With this help we guarantee you’ll finish what you started
